2024 Ontario School Chess Team Championship

Registration deadline: Friday, May 24, 2024 or at Maximum capacity of 60 teams. No onsite registration!

Prizes: Trophies for top 3 teams in each section.

Sections (by Grade): K-3, K-5, K-8, K-12

Schedule: 

Check-in details will be emailed to the team captains before the tournament.

Round 1-11:30. Each round is approximately 50 minutes. Awards - 3:30.

Time control: 20 minutes per player per game

Timer: 20 minutes each from the beginning or 10 minutes each will be given after 20 minutes from the start time.

Some other details:

-Each team will be playing in all matches, with 4 players from the same day school.

-Players should be sitting in order of playing strength**. The order of the lineup may not be altered throughout the tournament. Team roster must be submitted by May 24, 2024.

Students may choose to play up in any section but may not play down. 

-Format of play will either be RR or Swiss depending on the number of entries.

-A school may enter any number of teams in one section.

Registration is completed only if the online form and payment received by the organizer AND the form above is completed after the online registration.

If you have a team but do not have the roster yet, please enter P as the player’s name. You will get a copy of the form in your email. The form is editable until May 24. You can add or change the names and grades later.
