Vanier Open Chess Tournament

All Primary and Elementary players (Grades K to 6) and Junior and Senior High School players are welcome.

Three Sections

• Primary (Gr K-3)

• Elementary (Gr 4-6)

• Junior & Senior High

Five regular rounds plus possible tiebreakers - scholastic rated.

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. A canteen service will be provided with juice, chips and hot dogs.

Registration:

9:30 am to 10:00 am (sharp)

Entry Fee: $20 per player, payable at the door

Important Note to Parents:

All tournament participants must be supervised by a parent or designated guardian.

Neither the Newfoundland and Labrador School Chess Association (NLSCA) nor the host school will be held responsible for the safety or behaviour of participants not actively engaged in tournament play. The responsibility of the tournament organizers will be limited to ensuring fair competition in accordance with NLSCA tournament rules.
