The 13th Annual Susan Polgar Foundation Girls’ Invitational 2016 - Ontario Championship qualifier

GM Susan Polgar and Webster University are inviting the top Canadians girls from each province to participate in “The 13th Annual Susan Polgar Foundation Girls’ Invitational” (SPFGI) scheduled to take place at the Strategygames store. The event will offer more than $200K in prizes and scholarships. The annual Susan Polgar Foundation Girls’ Invitational, is the most prestigious all-girls event in the United States.

“Chess'n Math Association Toronto” is proudly organizing on May 28 the 1st edition of the ON Championship, qualifier for the 13th annual SPFGI 2016.

      

REQUIREMENTS for participants:

  • Under 19 years old on Jan 1st 2016 (please provide date of birth)
  • Must reside in Ontario

DATE: May 28th, 2016
PLACE: Strategygames store: (701 Mt Pleasant Rd, Toronto, ON M4S 2N4)
Just south of Eglinton

PLEASE COME ON SITE BY 10:00 am for Registration

ROUNDS: 5 rounds 30 minutes per player (G30), 60 minutes for each round with clocks (provided):

  • Round 1: 10:30 – 11:30
  • Round 2: 12:00 – 13:00 followed by lunch break
  • Round 3: 14:00 – 15:00
  • Round 4: 15:30 – 16:30
  • Round 5: 17:00 – 18:00

Tie breaks for 1st and top 3 places if required, will consist of a written chess puzzles test (Polgar method) within a given time frame. Tournament will be rated using the nationally recognized CMA (active rating). FIDE rules of rapid play apply!
