SCHOLASTIC GRAND PRIX 2022-2023

When? Sunday November 13th, the tournament begins at 11:30am and should end around 4:30pm

Where ? At Loisirs St-Henri, 530 rue du couvent, Montréal. H4C 2R4

You may pre-register on until friday the November 11th at noon for 35$ or register on site for 40$ before the begining of the tournament. A 90$ pass is also available to pre-register to all tournaments of the Grand Prix (3).

The tournament is open to all children between kindergarten to cégep. The children will play against players in the same category of age.
To have fun, the child must be able to mate and know the difference between mate and stalemate.
The time control is 20 minutes + 5 seconds increment.

In addition to the top 10 of each grade, all those who have played 10 or more rated games between September 1st and December 31, 2022 will be invited to accompany us to the Saratoga Springs, New York scholastic championship.



 

PRIZES ! 

At the end of the 3 Grand Prix, and for each category, Prizes in gift-card at the boutique stratégie or for any of Chess'n Math's activities will be given amongst the top 3 players

1st - 250$ \ 2nd - 150$ \ 3rd - 100$

Futhermore, 1500$ will be split between participants whom did not recieve regular prizes while also having cumulated 7,5 points or more during the Grand Prix.
